Synopsis
Hortense, a 40-year old nurse originally from the Ivory Coast, leaves her family for her lover, Jean-Paul, an oyster farmer in the area of Bordeaux. Her husband, a macho, very traditional man, sees his whole world turn upside down. Suddenly, he finds himself raising their two younger children on his own, and, to his horror, discovers that his third son, a handsome young man, is homosexual. The arrival of beautiful Amina, the lonely neighbor, and of Malik’s sisters in law from Adidjan, provokes some surprising twists. |
